“The best wedding band! Just amazing! We are so grateful that we found Freshman Year to play our wedding day. Everything from the set list, to the performance, to the crowd interaction was perfect and ensured that the dance floor was rocking all night long. So much so that we missed our evening food! The band themselves were punctual and personable, chatting with us before they played and taking any requests that we had. We'd also highly recommend the manned DJ service as it allowed us to continue dancing to our favourite songs without the annoyance of a typical wedding DJ.”

“We loved having Alive as the musical guests for our wedding! As soon as we came across Damo & the gang 18 months ago, we knew that their style & repertoire would suit our taste as well as the guests. A lot of our guests said that they were 'the best wedding band they've ever seen' which further validated our choice! The 2 sets spanned the classic alternative/rock wedding songs and the band also performed our first dance. The band were even kind enough to allow us to get up onstage with them and perform a couple of songs, all arranged in secret prior to the big day with e-mail chains & WhatsApp messages exchanged to agree arrangements. We would love to have them back if we were to organise an event in the future. Thanks for being part of our special day.”

In particular, Oliver agreed to accompany our friend Millie, who was singing for our ceremony and they coordinated with each other to make sure they had everything organised, which included Oliver learning the music, discussing the amplification available and practising before the ceremony, to make sure they were both happy. It is one of our favourite memories of the day and we’re so thankful for everything Oliver did to make it happen. Oliver was professional, arrived on time, presented himself wonderfully, brought everything necessary and, most importantly, played beautifully, for both the ceremony and the reception. His music was the perfect addition to the day, adding a lovely atmosphere, without interrupting conversation, or the flow of the ceremony.”
