Top Wedding Trends for 2017

Huge congratulations to all you lovely couples that have entered 2017 having ‘said Yes!’ According to The Liverpool Wedding Show, 58% of proposals take place between Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, which means there’s lots of new fiances out there looking for some serious wedspiration…. How do you find your perfect wedding venue? Where’s the best place to seek out that dream dress? And where on earth are those top London wedding bands hiding?

So our top wedding boffins have been searching high and low to find out what’s hot and what’s not in the wonderful world of wedding trends for 2017.

1. Sweet Treats

2016 saw the rise of the ‘cheese cake’. A tower of cheese? What could be better?! Well, 2017 is looking even sweeter with towers of treats like doughnuts or cookies. Just check out these beauties… we’ll have that, please!

2. Colour Blocking

Colour Coding has never been more on trend. Why not theme your wedding with classy chromes or neutral hues? Maybe even go one step further and get your guests to join in the fun too. We love this black and white theme…

3. Fabulous Flappers.

Since the 2013 film, The Great Gatsby has become a top trend on party inspo lists worldwide, and there are a hundred reasons why this theme with add some serious sparkle to your wedding. Smart and sultry, glitzy and glamorous – the roaring ‘20’s is seriously en vogue for 2017 and with a fantastic Gatsby-theme band to really get the party going, you’ll be the envy of all your guests. 4. Paper Party

According to celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera in his 2017 wedding trends predictions for Brides Magazine, incorporating paper in to your wedding day is set to be big news for this year. A versatile and cheap material, perfect for DIY weddings, there are so many great paper décor options, such as these amazing paper lanterns.

5. Gin Bars.

With Gin on the rise to beat vodka as spirit of the age, it’s no surprise that many couples are looking for a dedicated pop up bar to dish out the drink on their big day.
