WELCOME TO OUR SHINY NEW BAND, ENTREE!
Entree are an awesome male-fronted Rock/Pop/Indie band from Surrey, that make a perfect wedding band, and are also great for corporate events and other functions. Playing incredible covers by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, and Dire Straits, but putting their own, unique sin on them, Entree will certainly make your night one to remember!
So welcome to Tailored Entertainment, boys! Introduce yourselves please!
Hey!! So we are:
Harry - Vocals and Guitar. He has also been mistaken for Jesus a few times!!
Martin - Backing Vocals and Guitar.
Joe - Backing Vocal and Guitar. Both Martin and Joe haave been mistaken for brothers in the past!
Joe - Drums. The vegetarian of the band, not much more needs to be said! (We're joking).
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We have been playing as a band together for about 18 months now. We originally started playing weddings and functions around the Surrey area as a 3-piece, lounge-style act. This was well received at every event and we were soon asked to perform as a live band, which was when our good friend and drummer, Joe got involved. We all met at university and have all played together in separate bands, so it seemed more than fitting for the 4 of us to get a party covers band up and running together!
What's your favourite song to play live?
Ah! There's a few that we all really like. For a party vibe, Twist and Shout by The Beatles always goes down fantastically, which makes us really enjoy playing it live! We also throw a cheeky mash-up in there that takes it up a notch too.
During weddings and other functions, Le Freak or Good Times by Chic always receive a great reception and we LOVE playing those tunes. They're just such a good tune to get down and boogie to. We can't help it when we're playing either!
What's the best gig you've ever played as a band?
Just last weekend, we played at Glastonbury Festival! It was in association with PRS For Music and we got to entertain their guests at their accomodation. It was fantastic to see such an amazing festival whilst also being able to have the opportunity to perform our covers! Even if it wasn't exactly the Pyramid Stage...
Do you have any claims to fame?
Hmmm...Harry has been on BBC news dressed as Jesus (like we said before) at Reading Festival, which made us all laugh. Martin and Joe were also part of a BBC3 documentary that aired last year.
And Joe is still a vegetarian.
If you weren't in a band, what would you be doing?
We would probably be trying to make our musical dreams work in other ways. We all know this is exactly what we love doing so couldn't picture a life without music in some shape or form!
Do you have any musical guilty secrets?!
Plenty. Where do you start?! Collectively, our taste covers a huge amount of bases. From the early days of disco, to contemporary pop, right over to some really heavy rock music. It's great as it means we can put a large variety of covers into our setlists for each particular function. Guilty pleasures every so often make their way into our rehearsals and if they turn out better than expected, they usually end up at a few parties, just for the extra fun factor!
What do you like doing in your spare time?
We all play in originals bands: Harry (Dance A La Plage), Martin and Joe (MassMatiks) and Joe (Big Sixes/Swim Good). So that largely keeps us busy when we're not gigging with this band. Both Joe's also teach Guitar and Drums respectively. Harry and Martin also make their own pedalboard's under the name of 4T Pedalboards! So there's usually little spare time to be thrown around in our band, but we love it that way!!
