The only budget formula you’ll need
You’ll want to make sure that you have some cash left after the honeymoon is over. So set a budget and stick to it!
46% - 45% of the total budget goes to the reception
8% - 10% on flowers
8% - 10% on attire
10% - 12% on photo/video
10% - 15% on your wedding band
2% - 3% for invites / 2% to 3% percent for gifts
8% on miscellaneous items like a wedding coordinator
Keep an extra 5-10% of your budget tucked away for any extra expenses like reprinting additional invites or dress alterations.

Preparation is the key

For example, when going to order your invitations and enclosure stationery, make sure you have the following information at the ready!
Who is inviting (bride and groom / bride’s parents / groom’s parents or both parents)
• Venue ceremony and reception details
• Starting times of the ceremony and reception
• RSVP date (ask you venue when they need numbers, then add a week)
• Wishing Well / gifts / or registry
• Reception Card – reception details (transport, map, additional required info about parking or venue restrictions)
