Choosing wedding entertainers is a big decision and not one to be rushed into lightly - and so too is picking the music you want to have played on your big day. Here are a few mistakes you should do your best to avoid making if you want the perfect wedding.
First of all, make sure you play songs your guests know and like so they're sure to get up and dance. Later on in the evening, you can play whatever you want when it's just the hardcore few left. Ask people to make suggestions about what songs they'd like to hear most to help you put your wedding playlist together.
Make sure you don't hop from one genre to another over and over again and in quick succession. Keep the music similar for a few tracks at a time to keep people on the dancefloor.
And think about the different lyrics for each song - make sure that they're appropriate for a wedding so that Aunty Edna doesn't get offended.
When it comes to wedding entertainment, make sure that you pick bands or singers with lots of experience who really know their stuff such as jazz or pop, so you don't get caught out and have nothing, but terrible music to offer your guests.
It's also important to read over your contract with your entertainers before you sign so you know there won't be any extra costs you haven't budgeted for.
