One of the most enduringly popular bands across all four corners of the globe has to be The Beatles. Wedding bands absolutely love it when people make requests for songs by the Fab Four as they’re always brilliantly received at parties – and now it’s looking likely that even more newlyweds will be making such requests in the future.
Tracks from the group have now been made available on streaming services like Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Prime Music and Apple Music – but which songs are the most popular right now?
In the UK, the top ten most-streamed tracks by The Beatles on Spotify on December 24th and 25th was made up of Come Together, Hey Jude, Here Comes the Sun, Twist and Shout, Let It Be, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Help!, Love Me Do, I Feel Fine and She Loves You.
Globally, the top ten consisted of Come Together, Let It Be, Hey Jude, Love Me Do, Yesterday, Here Comes the Sun, Help!, All You Need Is Love, I Want To Hold Your Hand, and Twist and Shout.
If you are getting hitched in the near future, it’s always a good idea to find out what music is most popular at the moment. While you might be tempted to fill your wedding soundtrack with lots of your favourite songs, no one will get up and dance if they don’t recognise the music. Throw in a few tracks you absolutely love, but try to keep it as mainstream as possible so that everyone can have a good time.
