Given the time of year, there’s nothing we enjoy more than fantasising about a summer filled with top notch wedding entertainment in beautiful, sun drenched wedding venues across the country. It is, without question, the only thing getting us through the murk of mid-January!

This week at Tailored Entertainment towers, we’ve had just one location in our mind – Yorkshire! We absolutely love heading up to Yorkshire for a wedding. It’s such a beautifully varied county, offering a wonderfully wide choice of themes and backdrops for your wedding venue. Whether you’re drawn to the picturesque beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, the modernity of a quirky city centre space or a beachside resort with jaw dropping views – you’ll find it all. In fact, if you know where to look, there’s some seriously cool and unusual Yorkshire wedding venues waiting to be unearthed!

Five Exciting and Unique Wedding Venues in Yorkshire

That’s where we come in. We’ve canvassed some of our most popular Yorkshire wedding bands to come up with a definitive list of the most unique wedding venues Yorkshire has to offer. Who knows – your perfect Yorkshire wedding venue might be somewhere on this list. Here we go!

Broughton Hall, Skipton

First off, we’ll head on up to this beautiful spot in Skipton, just inside the Yorkshire Dales. There are plenty of pretty looking manor house style wedding venues in Yokrshire, but for our money this 16th century stately home is the best in the county, if not the country. There’s so much to grab you about this venue, but what we really love about Broughton Hall is its flexibility and myriad options for different styles and themes. The house itself offers the very finest Old English opulence you’re likely to find anywhere in the UK. The ‘Eden’ venue is pretty and intimate with stunning Dales views that feel like they’re ripped straight from an Emily Bronte novel. And the Garden House offers something totally different – stripped back and modern with large glass windows making the most of the sumptuous scenery. There really is something for everyone. This is a very, very special venue!

THE BASICS

Address - Broughton Hall, Skipton, Yorkshire, BD23 SAE

Capacity - Anywhere from intimate weddings with 25 guests to grand, stately affairs for up to 300. 

Packages - This is Broughton Hall's real USP. There's a host of packages available with wildly different looks and vibes, so it all comes down to what you want from your wedding. Our favourite has to be the 'Party House' package, where you get your very own little manor house in the Yorkshire Dales all to yourself for the day!

The Angel at Hetton

We absolutely love a pub wedding. It’s difficult to achieve that relaxed, intimate atmosphere whilst still preserving a sense of occasion, and a good pub wedding venue can do just that. Many well-run country gastro pubs have started to offer compelling and competitive wedding packages. In The Angel at Hetton, you’ve got one of the best pub wedding venues you’re ever going to find. This old 15th Century coaching in has recently been taken over by renowned chef Michael Wignall and achieved it’s first Michelin star in the 2020 Guide. It’s wedding packages are second to none, offering ‘gourmet’ menus from the kitchen’s Michelin star menu, as well as more affordable fare.

THE BASICS

Address - The Angel Inn, Hetton, Near Skipton, Yorkshire, BD23 6LT

Capacity - Intimate. 20-50 guests is recommended for this venue.

Packages - Two packages are on offer, with the same base-rate hire price for both packages. The difference is in the menus on offer. The Classic Package is the more price-concious offer, with a premium of £85 per person. The Gourmet Package offers the full seven-course tasting menu from the Michelin-starred kitchen, coming in at £170 per head...yikes!

Camp Katur, Bedale

Changing lanes rather dramatically, how about this beautiful glamping site in Bedale? Set amidst 250 acres of woodland, Camp Katur is a pristinely kept nature escape that can cater to weddings of absolutely and all shapes and sizes. There’s also a whole host of accommodation onsite including pretty little camping pods to the ‘Romeo & Juliet’ inspired bridal lodge. Camp Katur offers tepee packages, as well as more rustic options too. The perfect venue for one of our brilliant festival style wedding bands!

Capacity - Such is the joy of an outdoor wedding venue...the sky is the absolute limit! According to their website, Camp Katur can cater for wedding parties from 10 guests up to a mind blowing 1500 people!

Packages - As you could expect from such an expansive site, their wedding packages are similarly extensive. Camp Katur offers everything from fully outdoor eco-weddings to teepees, yurts...and grand marquee events for seriously extensive guestlists.

92 Burton Road, Sheffield

Yorkshire’s vibrant city centres hold a good number of brilliantly unique and unusual Yorkshire wedding venues, and one of our absolute favourites has to be 92 Burton Road in Sheffield. The 7500 square foot events space is housed in an old factory warehouse, proudly combining Sheffield’s rich industrial history with an awesomely brutalist, modern aesthetic. The warehouse itself opens out onto a courtyard hosting some of the city’s best street food merchants, craft ale brewers, cocktail makers and live music. So that’s your evening entertainment sorted as well!

Capacity - Anything up to 250 people is possible in this extensive space.

Packages - Everything from full day hires to evening-only affairs are available from 92 Burton Road. 

Raven Hall Hotel, Ravenscar

Seaside wedding venues are hard to get right. There’s plenty of them dotted across Yorkshire’s stunning shoreline but, like many seaside towns themselves, too many of them look a little tired these days. Raven Hall Hotel comfortably bucks this trend. The beautiful castle-like country home offers excellent wedding packages in tastefully designed facilities. Whats more, you’ve got some of Yorkshire’s best views over Robin’s Hood Bay – perfect for a few wedding photos with some seaside scenery!

Address - Raven Hall Hotel, Ravenscar, Scarborough, Yorkshire, YO13 0ET

Capacity - The Great Hall can hold up to 120, and 100 in the George III Suite. 

Packages - The two space listed above are Raven Hall's most popular choices, both offering a uniquely different feel. Raven Hall is licenced for civil cervices and, weather permitting, can offer outdoor wedding packages that make the most of those views over Robin Hood Bay.
