As if you needed further confirmation that Adele is the singer du jour, the London lass just picked up four gongs at last night’s Brits, cementing her reputation as one of the greatest singers of our generation.
If you’re looking for inspiration and ideas for songs for your Liverpool corporate entertainers to play at your event, then you really need look no further than Adele. If anyone’s got universal musical appeal, then it’s certainly her – and you’re sure to get people on the dance floor at your event if you include a few of her tracks in your playlist.
So what did she win? Well, she went home with awards for Best Album for 25, Best Female Solo Artist, Best Single for Hello and the Global Success Award to boot, mirroring Blur’s achievements back in 1995.
Her speech when she accepted her Global Success Award went thus: “Not bad for a girl from Tottenham that don’t like flying, getting global success. And Tim Peake, I love you, I hope you’re OK and not too hungry! Bye!”
Astronaut Peake actually ‘presented’ Adele with her award all the way from outer space via video link from the International Space Station, which we’re sure Adele will remember for the rest of her life.
Adele was recently also named as the number one global recording artist of 2015, so it’s certainly been a good few months for the songstress. After taking a couple of months off, coming back to such acclaim really must be a huge confidence boost – not that she really needs it. We’re excited to see what the next 12 months holds for the Tottenham singer, that’s for sure.
