Another busy weekend!

Another fantastic weekend of gigs for the Tailored artists… We had Academy Allstars at De Vere Denham Grove, complete with their new PA and lighting! The groom managed to make time on Sunday to email to say they had a great night and that the band were excellent – which they always are!

The Live Karaoke Band were also in Surrey at The Whytleafe Tavern for a 40th Birthday Party. It was a phenomenal night with some great performances – including an incredible version of Sweet Child O’ Mine… I’m not sure many notes were in tune but it’s not always about that – this was all about energy and enthusiasm! The crowd were mostly Crystal Palace fans – which is always good as I too am a massive Palace fan! The night ended with everyone singing the Palace song, ‘Glad All Over’. Brilliant!

We had Hampshire’s best wedding band The Magic Tones at The Portsmouth Marriott on Friday for the prestigious Commissioning Ball for HMS Dragon – a great night! The Magic Tones are an absolutely class act! Always popular for formal dinners and they produced another stunning performance – and have already booked a wedding of the back of it!

More updates soon – we have events in London, Swindon, Hamble, New Forest, Bournemouth this weekend… as well as The Live Karaoke Band at Center Parcs in Suffolk for a corporate event on Monday. Looking forward to that!

Center Parcs, Festivals, New Contracts And Duran2!

It’s been a great month at Tailored HQ with bookings for The Live Karaoke Band and School Reunion Band to perform at this years 80s Rewind Festival in Perth (Scotland) and Henley-On-Thames. It’s our third year running there and we are looking forward to another couple of great weekends!

Live Karaoke Band will also be performing at Center Parcs in Elveden Forest for Pharmaceutical giant A.Menarini in April which is another great name for the bands incredible corporate CV!

We are also pleased to announce we have signed a preferred supplier contract with the outstanding St Mary’s University College London – if anyone is looking for an event venue in the Twickenham area they have some great rooms at really competitive rates!

And finally, we have launched our latest act – Duran2! see the website for more details http://www.durandurantributeband.co.uk With a headline festival slot at Somerock already booked, alongside dates at Southsea Bandstand and Solihull Arden Club. This could be the biggest new tribute band on the UK circuit!

Hampshire Wedding Show

Great day at the Hampshire Wedding Show at University of Southampton yesterday. We took Hampshire’s finest wedding band The Magic Tones with us, as well as wedding day music specialists Austin Hood and Simon on piano. Lianne was there too, but modelling dresses rather than singing unfortunately!

Lianne did perform drinks reception music at De Vere New Place in Shirrell Heath on Friday, with fantastic feedback from guests on her beautiful performance, accompanied by acoustic guitar. I think she will become incredibly popular for wedding day music now she has given up the cruise work for shore based gigs!

We have already taken bookings for Austin, Simon and The Magic Tones less than 24hours after the wedding show. And I found a fantastic Rat Pack singer at the show who will be joining the roster. So it was a real success! Thanks to Darren and the team at It’s A Doddle for putting on the show and attracting so many visitors down!

We have already booked several New Years Eve band gigs – I’m particularly looking forward to Live Karaoke Band at the New Years Eve Party for Carmarten Athletic Club! The Welsh carry a reputation of being pretty able singers, so we look forward to a quality set of karaoke there!

Children In Need – Kings Theatre Southsea

We were very proud to perform at the regional Children In Need fundraiser at The Kings Theatre in Southsea on Tuesday, helping to raise in excess of £2000. The Playlist party band were the ‘house band’ for the night and opened the show to the sold out audience with their show stopping version of ‘Proud Mary’! The band also opened the 2nd set and closed the night with guest singers Same Difference, singing Kool & The Gang’s ‘Celebration’. Footage of the event can be seen on Portsmouth Live TV.

November has been the month for charity as The Magic Tones performed at Zoe Wathen’s hugely successful fundraiser at The Haven Hotel in Sandbanks, Poole on Saturday 12th November. Zoe had a quite remarkable year – walking over 600 miles in 48 days to raise money for charity. To celebrate her incredible achievement & to raise even more money for the great causes she was supporting, she had a ball at the lovely Haven Hotel. It was a great night and The Magic Tones packed the dancefloor, as always!

We are fast approaching December which is the busiest month of bookings in the history of Tailored Entertainment I think it speaks volumes of the quality of our acts that, at a time where many entertainers, bands and entertainment companies are struggling, we are growing fast. There is no secret to our success… we just work hard, try to be helpful and make sure the entertainment we provide is top quality! And we are very proud that hundreds of bookings in to this venture, we still maintain a 100% positive feedback record

Better get back to organising December… a lot to do – we have gigs as far West as Plymouth, as North as York and as East as Kent. Loads of forces ball, it’s great fun & a great honour performing for our service men & women! They earn the right to party and certainly know how to make the most of it! And loads of corporate events too, I’m particularly looking forward to OJ’s Soul Band gigs at De Vere Grand Harbour in Southampton and Lloyd’s One in London, such a great band!

Ultimate Christmas Party Bands

We are looking forward to a very busy Christmas period once again! With gigs as local as De Vere New Place in Southampton with The Magic Tones, and as far away as Royal York Hotel in York! With The Live Karaoke Band.

The Live Karaoke Band really are an absolute favourite for corporate Christmas parties. If you want to enjoy a fully interactive evening with your team and a party with an electric atmosphere, to really give you a night to remember, then The Live Karaoke Band are the band for you! Busy Summer!!!

What an amazing Summer we have had! All of the bands have been non-stop and there has been some notable highlights along the way. Just last week we had the School Reunion Band at at Help For Heroes fundraiser that raised over £8000! The booker was so impressed with the band he wants the guys back for another fundraiser in December!

We also had the Live Karaoke Band and School Reunion Band at 80s Rewind Festivals in Henley On Thames and Perth in Scotland. They were awesome fun – the bands played to several thousand people every night! The highlight for me was seeing Billy Ocean live on stage – what a legend that guy is!

Keeping with the festival theme, we had OJ’s Soul & Motown Band at Gosport Festival with 90s band Toploader – if there is a better function band going than OJ’s Soul Band in the UK I am yet to hear it! Simply stunning band, check them out http://www.motownband.com.

We have had several bands at various forces balls in Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire and London, forces favourites The Magic Tones were at Hyde Park Barracks this month for the Household Cavalry Summer Ball, exceptionally well received as always and re-booked for the Christmas Party!

We also ventured back in to the world of holiday parks, which is something we haven’t done for a while… The Live Karaoke Band appeared in Bognor Regis and Hastings, such good fun! And the crowd always love the band! I’m looking forward to working in more holiday parks in 2012.

On top of all the many fantastic events we have had bands at, we continue to supply bands for weddings and parties in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Dorset, London and beyond. From a TV Exec’s party in London, a 60th Birthday Party at a mansion in Essex and an absolutely blown away crowd for a wedding with OJ’s Soul Band in Northampton to a 3-piece karaoke band performance at a pub in London – they have all been great fun! And we’ve kept up our 100% positive feedback record… something we intend to do in the future too!

The year end seems like its only getting busier! December is already getting very full – as always The Live Karaoke Band dominating the bookings with regular and new corporate clients! We also have several forces balls booked up and expect many more. I’m also personally looking forward to New Years Eve at Carmarthen Rugby Club with The Live Karaoke Band – should be a great party!

And what’s more exciting is we have taken on some new acts, including the unbelievably popular wedding band A-List, the fantastic Live Lounge Band, 50s/60s authentic rock n roll band The Telstarz and solo singer Lianne Gaterell.
